Privacy notice
How Permeon Analytical Ltd handles the personal data it receives from clients, enquirers and sensory panel members.
Who we are
Permeon Analytical Ltd (company number 05841772, registered in England and Wales) operates a testing laboratory at Unit 12, Avonbank Technology Park, Feeder Road, Bristol BS2 0UW. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this notice.
What we collect and why
Enquiries and quotations
When you contact the laboratory we hold the name, company, email address and telephone number you give us, together with the technical description of the work. We use it to prepare a quotation and to run the study. The lawful basis is the performance of a contract, or steps taken at your request before entering one.
Study records
Sample submission forms, chain-of-custody records and correspondence about a study are retained for six years after the report is issued. This period reflects the evidential value of test records and the limitation period for contractual claims.
Sensory panel members
Panel members' screening results, session scores and payment records are held for the duration of panel membership and for two years afterwards. Scores are recorded against an assessor code, not a name, in any report leaving the laboratory.
Website
This site sets no analytics or advertising cookies and embeds no third-party tracking scripts. Photographs are served from an external image host, which will receive your IP address as part of the ordinary process of delivering an image to your browser.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for marketing. Data is disclosed only to our accountants and auditors under confidentiality terms, to a subcontracted laboratory where you have agreed in writing that part of a study may be subcontracted, and where the law requires it.
Your rights
You may request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask for inaccurate data to be corrected, ask for erasure where we have no continuing legal or contractual reason to retain it, object to processing, or request portability. Write to [email protected]. We respond within one month.
If you are not satisfied with our response you may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the supervisory authority for data protection in the United Kingdom.
